Simplifying complexity, enhancing global retail operations.
I have worked on this project for two semesters as part of a team all the while applying everything I have learnt during 2 years of my Master's in HCI and the professional experience I have gained before that.

Goal:
Enhance the usability of SAP systems used during Apple’s New Product Introduction (NPI) events by making the interfaces more intuitive and efficient for global retail teams, resulting in streamlined workflows and improved decision-making.
Users:
Retail teams, business analysts, finance, and supply chain teams, as well as global leadership, who relied on the system for data-driven decisions and smooth NPI operations.
Results:
Designed a user-friendly and efficient web-based tool, simplifying complex SAP systems to enhance productivity. Conducted user research, implemented iterative testing, and effectively managed the project to deliver a seamless, efficient experience for over 73k employees globally.
Roles & Responsibilities:
During my time, I took on 4 projects, each with 16-20 User Stories. This tool was part of the User Stories of Projects 3 & 4. I also had to wear multiple hats to complete each project.
UX Designer/Researcher: Conducted stakeholder interviews, gathered and analyzed data, designed solutions, created prototypes, tested them, and collaborated with developers for implementation.
Sr. Consultant: Managed the process end-to-end, from planning sprints and setting milestones to overseeing testing and deployment. Ensured all user queries and bugs were resolved during the support phase. Led a growing team in my second year, provided mentorship, delegated tasks, and ensured smooth project execution while fostering collaboration across teams.

The Fantastic 4

Here are 4 things that will help you to know everything about the project, blazing quick!

#2 Target Audience

Who could benefit from this product?

The idea was to have a product that would help doing any task as easy as connecting dots, with an interface that is easy to use for everyone. But in order to differentiate the product and to create a blue ocean, the focus for now is geared towards power users like Developers, Product Designers and Product Managers.

Product Designer caricature

Designers

Product designers who have low coding expertise, and have to deal with fragmented tools to design anything.
Developer caricature

Developers

Developers who must work with multiple complex tools and APIs and struggle to integrate everything in one place.
Project Manager caricature

Product Managers

Product Managers who must coordinate with various teams to deliver while navigating through not having in-depth technical expertise in all domains.
#3 solution

What was the end result?

A concept prototype showcasing some cool feature ideas.
